Worlds Apart: 2.19: Learned How to Ride a Bike

Jay’s Playtime Captain Aspiration wanted him to Become Friends with 3 Other Children. He had met someone in school and invited them over afterwards. I did as many interactions with them as possible. I did not get any notification that they were friends. I wanted to invite Kaylynn over again and check on their relationship status. I bring up the Aspiration panel to see that he has already finished that portion of the Aspiration and has moved onto the next steps. This is impossible. He’s only met one child his age lifestage. This has got to have been a glitch. I didn’t use any cheats, and I don’t even know when this happened. Unfortunately, I can’t undo the Aspiration step. I still want Jay to meet others his age, so I’ll continue to have him meet others. But this baffles me.

I have Jay ride his bike in the backyard for a while before I have him go off to bed.

The next day arrives. Everyone in the family has work or school. They’re all still in a sad mood from Geordi’s passing, hopefully by going about their day will make it slightly better. The traditional family breakfast starts the day off. During breakfast, Jay announces he wants to be a ninja when he grows up. Little does he know he’s going to end up being a Detective instead.

Soon, it’s time for Will and Jay to go to school. Will is in a much better mood about school this time around. Maybe he had a good experience last time.

Then, Vince soon heads off to work himself. During his shift, he needs to give feedback to another co-worker. I feel Vince has gotten to the point where he’ll reinforce any comments with some positive feedback.

Last, but not least, Aoi takes her leave for work. She doesn’t look too thrilled about going back.

The kids get home from school an hour after Aoi left for work. Jay is back to being sad again about grandpa’s death. Will seems to be looking back and noticing.

I have Jay ride his bike for a bit for his Playtime Captain Aspiration. He’s close to finishing this up. With a lot of hard work and patience, Jay is able to fully learn how to ride his bike.

When Vince arrives home from work, I have him start dinner. He’s no top chef, but he sure enjoys acting like one.

As Aoi is at work, the men of the household sit at the table for a pleasant dinner together.

Early the next morning around 4am in-game time, Jay wakes up to a loose tooth. Poor fella.

When Vince wakes up in the morning to get breakfast started for the family, a new personality trait notification pops up asking if Vince wants to embrace being a kleptomaniac. Uh, no. Why did Vince even want to consider this? Shame on him. He’s no thief.

The family then enjoys the traditional family breakfast together.

The adults have the day off, but the kids have school. Hopefully Jay will meet more children at school. I’d like him to be at least acquainted with a few more his lifestage.

Since Vince and Aoi do not have work, I am having Vince take her to the spa for some pampering. He’s done a lot of freelance work here for his Wellness Aspiration. When they arrive to the spa, Vince autonomously gives Aoi a kiss on the cheek. How cute. I have them go inside and change into robes so the pampering can begin.

Vince and Aoi make their way to get back massages first. After the back massages, it was time for the hands and feet to get the same attention. After lunch, the two go to the sauna before having to head home when the kids get out of school.

When the boys arrive home from school, Jay is still in an uncomfortable mood because of his loose tooth. However, he did meet more children at school. This is a small bonus. One is named Isabelle Akiyama. She is Vince’s stepsister’s child that was adopted.

Jay is given the option to pull his loose tooth out, so we’re going to go ahead and do that. Hopefully it’s not too painful for the poor kid.

The family has dinner together since everyone is home for the evening.

Vince gets a call from his best friend in grade school and throughout high school. Reese calls Vince to let him know that he adopted a baby. That is cool that he shares the news with Vince. The two really haven’t spoken much since Vince’s wedding and Reese was his ring bearer.

After doing his homework, I have Jay ride his bike a bit more to finish off the Playtime Captain Aspiration. Since he ages up to a teenager in less than two days, I will not have Jay start another Aspiration. He will get his new one when he ages up.

While I was watching Jay ride around on his bike, a notification pops up with Vince wanting to embrace about cleanliness.

As the next day arrives in-game, it’s a Friday. This is Jay’s last day of grade school, so he will attempt one more time to meet other children his lifestage. He’s met quite a few already. Before the kids head off to school, it’s the traditional family breakfast together.

Vince and Aoi have work today. While Vince is at work, he is assigned an intern. I think Vince would want to help his intern and set them up for success rather than be his errand person.

Will and Jay both arrive home in good moods. Jay has met two more children his lifestage. Tomorrow in-game time, he ages up to a teenager.

When Vinces arrives home from work, he has received a raise. Vince is doing great at his job. He is thinking about coffee. My guess is he is tired and needs that caffeine. Even though his Hunger is in the yellow, so that is probably the real reason.

I am going to end the chapter here. Next chapter, Jay will be aging up to a teenager. I am one step closer to having Jason “Jay” Sims to starting his journey as Generation 3 heir.
