As the next day arrives, Vince wakes up to Love Day and the day of getting wed to Aoi Takeuchi.
First, it’s time to set up all the necessities for the wedding, which will be in the evening hours. I had Vince ask family members to be a part of the wedding as well as one of his best friends from his child lifestage. I pick typical wedding activities to be done. Styles are designed for the groom, bride, and guests. Last, it’s the destination and time. I find a wedding venue on The Sims 4 Gallery I like and place it in Oasis Springs. I’d like each wedding to be in the World the Generation is living in. Geordi eloped, but he did it in Willow Creek.
Vince and Aoi need a wedding cake. Vince has a few options for baking a wedding cake. Since I picked black and white for the outfits, I am going with a black and white cake as well.
I want Vince and Aoi to have a date in the park before their wedding. I’ve enjoyed remodeling the Lots with others’ creations from The Sims 4 Gallery for Generation 2, I am going to continue doing that with each Generation going forward. I have updated the Desert Bloom Park in Oasis Springs.
I have Vince ask Aoi on a date. They meet up at the Desert Bloom Park. It’s a rainy day. Bummer if it’s still raining during the wedding. But that’s okay. Because it’s Love Day, I have Vince offer Aoi a rose.
Vince and Aoi dry off a bit indoors to chat for a bit. I would guess they’re discussing the wedding.
As Vince and Aoi are chatting, she autonomously gives him a rose back. How sweet of her. Vince is not shy to give her a passionate kiss with others around.
As it’s getting crowded indoors, I have Vince and Aoi go back outside. It’s still raining. Since they’re already wet, I have Vince show off his cannonball skills to Aoi. Normally, a Sim will change into a swimsuit for this. But since they are on a date in the park, normally one would not have a swimsuit on them, so I quickly changed Vince into his boxers. Too bad Aoi decided to sit at the edge of the pier. I still enjoy it, though.
Vince and Aoi go back inside for a bite to eat. They have a seat again and continue having conversations and more flirting until the date finally finishes on a gold status.
Back home from his Legendary date, Vince checks in with Brutus. Brutus should have aged up to an adult dog yesterday in-game, yet still remains a puppy. I’m not going to complain. And just as Vince puts Brutus down, the dog begins the aging up into an adult dog. I go into CAS and add a collar to Brutus.
I let time pass. In-game turns to 5pm and it’s time for the wedding of Vince Sims and Aoi Takeuchi. I’ve played the My Wedding Stories wedding ceremony once before and it turned out decently well. Curious to see how it goes this round with this Legacy.
It is nice to see those that Vince has invited all dressed up. Vince goes in for a hug with his dad, Geordi. Both his parents are elders, so I’m happy they are able to attend his wedding.
Majority show up on time, so I have them take a seat. Latecomers will autonomously do whatever they want to do.
Although I have autonomy off, it looks like the Sims are going to do whatever they want anyway. I send the Officiant, Vince’s about to be father-in-law, down the aisle first. Albert’s wife looks on with a smile. Soon after, I send Vince’s dad, the Sim of Honor, down. Followed by his best friend, who is the Ring Bearer. Finishing with his stepsister, the Flower Pal. I do have to chuckle that Geordi, who is the Sim of Honor, left to hang out with his wife. Sims will be Sims.
It is time to wed Vince and Aoi before everything turns chaotic. Sims are getting up, sitting down, chatting with each other, and all around being silly. At least some have remained seated for the ceremony. Since this is The Sims and not a traditional wedding, I send the groom and bride to be down the aisle together. The Ring Bearer’s reaction after Vince places the ring on his newlywed is priceless.
I get who I can and gather them in the church to have a wedding dance. It doesn’t turn out well at all, but at least Vince likes to dance now. I think it is too tight of a spot. Generation 3, I will do better.
Then it’s cutting of the cake between Vince and Aoi.
As it is getting late, I need to end the wedding. It’s now after midnight. I have the newlyweds, Vince and Aoi, move in together. She brings in half of the household funds she had.
Vince and Aoi finish off their wedding activities alone.
This ends this chapter. Next chapter, I’ll try to introduce another new member of the family. I want to make sure an heir(ess) happens. Hopefully Vince’s sisters will become teenagers as well. Both dad and mom are elders, so their time will be coming fast.
