Worlds Apart: 1.24: Prom is Starting

I turn Karmine’s old bedroom into Cassie and Zoe’s room. Right now, it is set up for infants. As they age up, they will continue to share the room together and the look of the room will update to match.

I won’t be focusing on the infant milestones the infant twins will pick up. We got to see a lot of the milestones when Vince was an infant already. I’ll show off more when Vince starts to have kids and a Generation 3 heir(ess) is picked.

At 7pm in-game time, I get the notification Prom is starting. I am definitely sending Vince to Prom and following along. I have played the Prom scenarios in the past and Prom moves very quickly. There is a mod to extend the time of Prom, but I like the challenge of trying to finish tasks without the use of mods.

I have Vince go to Prom alone. He will have another chance to go to Prom again and I’ll have him ask someone at that time. I won’t focus on getting him to win Prom Royalty this time or next. I’ll have a future Generation focusing on this and will work hard to get them to be crowned.

First thing I have Vince do, is vote for the Prom Royalty. I do have a mod for this. It’s called Two Prom Royalty Mod. It changes the jester hat wearing to another crown wearing. I like this better as there could be a Prom King and Queen, two Prom Kings, or two Prom Queens.

I am having Vince pick both a male and female Sim. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know any of the male Sims that are on the ballot. He doesn’t have any type of relationship with them. Therefore, I have him pick the first male on the ballot, Griffin Price. Plus, I also find it amusing that Griffin is wearing a regular everyday outfit rather than something formal. For the female, his highest relationship is Elena Bheeda. His second vote goes to her.

I then have Vince get on the dance floor to boogey down and chat it up with his fellow classmates.

Vince’s Hunger Need was approaching yellow, so I have him go grab some food. Pierce Delgato seems to be showing Griffin Price something on his phone that catches Vince’s attention. I wonder what it is.

Then it’s photo booth picture time.

Soon after, the Prom Award Ceremony begins. The Principal is the one announcing the two Prom Royalties. One of Vince’s choices wins, Griffin Price.

Prom night ends with Vince receiving a silver medal. I have him share his experience on Social Bunny.

Arriving home, I open the house inventory. Vince received a Timeless Silver Prom Memorabilia which consists of a miniature vintage inspired gramophone player that plays music. Looking in Vince’s personal inventory, I find the Prom photo booth picture that was taken. He also has an Excellence Bunny ceramic he received sometime in the past for academic excellence. The bunny is huge! I place all three of these things in his bedroom. These will all move with him when he becomes a young adult and moves out on his own.

Before bed, Geordi takes care of the twin infants.

The next day arrives and it’s Sunday. Geordi has the day off, but Xochitl does not from work. She doesn’t work until the afternoon, though.

As the men are having breakfast downstairs in the dining room, Xochitl is feeding the infants upstairs. I think this will be the norm for now until Cassie and Zoe age up to toddlers and then they can eat with the family as a whole.

During the day while I have mom take care of the infant twins, Geordi continues to work on the rocket ship. I am hoping to have him fly it to space before moving onto Generation 2.

I get a marriage notification I was not expecting. It looks like Karmine is no longer in a relationship with Maira Watson. She has up and married someone else who’s name is Taku Akiyama. Perhaps Karmine preferred both genders and I didn’t know it.

I have Vince go over and visit his sister and new brother-in-law. Karmine stills lives in the house she grew up in. I decide to move Maira out and back home to Henford-on-Bagley with her parents. Too awkward to be living in with your ex-girlfriend and her new husband.

Back home, Xochitl is at work now and Geordi has to take care of the infants.

At work, Xochitl spies the other team’s playbook. I don’t think she’s the type to look through it.

As Monday now comes along, Geordi is up bright and early to take care of the infant twins. Cassie had a blowout overnight and now needs a bath.

Geordi has work and Vince school. Xochitl is lucky enough not to have work and spend the day with the infant girls. She is the one who gets to have breakfast with Vince this morning while Geordi continues to take care of the little ones.

At school, Vince receives his SDT scores. They’re okay, but Vince knows he could do better. I believe if Vince has the chance to retake the test for a higher score, he’d do it.

And at work Geordi seems to be running into a space factory that is violating code. He’s not going to sweet talk any guard to get through. He’s a high rank authority now.

And during football practice after school has ended, I find out Vince has a crush. Well, we all know it’s an automation decision making scenario. But still, I find it funny. I doubt he would speak up just to look cool in front of someone he likes. I feel he doesn’t have that type of ego.

Vince arrives home with a promotion to now being a football teammate. He receives a sports team flag as well, for which I place it next to his Prom picture in his bedroom.

I am going to end the chapter on that note. Career Day is coming up and Vince needs to gain one more level on the football team. After, he will have completed his next milestone in the Goal Oriented Aspiration. I am also hoping Geordi can finish building that rocket ship. He’s been working on it for a long time it feels.
