Worlds Apart: 2.25: Spooky Day

When Vince and family go to bed, the Skillful Sleep option pops up. When he falls asleep, Vince’s apparition appears out of his body. I follow it to see what skill he is going to work on. To no surprise, he goes to work out. He’s already mastered fitness. But Vince will do what Vince likes to do.

The next morning, the family has breakfast together. Vince seems distracted. Perhaps he’s wondering if he actually went outside last night to work out or not.

After breakfast, Jay tells his dad no one likes him. Uh, Jay. Erin likes you. And you like her.

Jay has classes today. Aoi has work today. Vince has the day off.

Because Vince has the day off, I take him out to the gym to lead a yoga class. Then I have him go to the spa to lead a meditation class. It’s been a hot minute since I had him emanate his calming aura. After his meditation class, I have him offer his massaging expertise. And when Vince is done doing massage therapy, I have him finish his day off in the sauna.

When Vince gets home from his day at the gym and spa, Jay is autonomously working on his homework. What a good kid. He must have gone swimming when he got home from school since he’s outside in his swim trunks and knew his dad was coming home soon.

Because Aoi is at work, it’s a good day outside to grill. This shows support for Jay as well doing his homework outside.

The next day, it’s now Spooky Day. The family has breakfast together. Before I have them sit down, I notice Jay go hug his mother autonomously and a new Like pops up for Jay. How sweet.

I decide to send Jay off to school. Vince and Aoi are supposed to have work, but I decide to have them take a paid day off so they can be home tonight for the Spooky Day.

I decorate the outside of the house first.

Then since this is Vince’s generation, I have him carve a pumpkin for outside the door.

Aoi has gained a little weight. Not that it’s a bad thing. I just want the family physically fit. So, I have her and Vince work out together after he finishes his pumpkin carving.

After their workout, I have Vince make a zombie cake for the Spooky Day party in a few in-game hours.

And as that few hours come, the notification comes up that the Spooky Party is starting. All the guests begin arriving. I only invited family members for this generational spooky day celebration. I notice Will approaching his little brother. I have to see them greet each other. These two have been the best of friends since they were children. Now they’re all grown up and I can see still best buddies.

I had Vince invite his niece, Lorena, over. She’s the daughter of Karmine who was introduced in Generation 1 as Xochitl’s, Geordi’s wife, daughter. I had to also invite her husband, Quentin Goth. He’s the grandson of the infamous Mortimer and Bella Goth. His father is Alexander Goth.

Vince’s sisters, who are twins, show up in witches costumes. Zoe likes pink for a favorite color. Cassie likes yellow. There was no yellow witch costume, so she got the next closest color, orange.

I couldn’t have Jay’s girlfriend, Erin, not be invited over. I made sure she has a matching costume to go with his. These two are smitten with each other.

Finally, here is Vince with his wife, Aoi.

Since I have everyone grouped together, I thought it would be fun for them all to dance together to some spooky music. It starts out fine and then a little chaos ensues. It wouldn’t be a Sims game without some type of chaos with large groups.

I have Vince take a break from dancing to try some of the candy in the spooky day bowl that I put for trick or treaters. This is actually the first time I used this. And was it funny to see Vince get a stink bomb candy? I think he ended up liking the candy after the smell went away.

I notice some action going on by the fridge to see Quentin has already started on the zombie cake. How rude!

I turn my attention back to Jay for a moment to see how he’s getting along with Erin, only to find out he’s talking to Will. Why am I not surprised. My guess is they are catching up since the last time Jay went over to Will’s house. Erin was still enjoying herself, though.

As the party ends, I get a notification there is a reward of two lamps in the household inventory.

As the night comes to an end and the family goes to bed, Vince ends Spooky Day successfully.

The next morning, the family gets up and has breakfast together. Tomorrow in-game, I will age Jay up after his high school classes are over. Only a few more family meals together.

Jay has school today. It’s his second to last day. He ages up tomorrow in-game after his classes.

Since I’ll be starting Jay’s journey after the next chapter, I feel it’s only right to do one more date with Vince and Aoi. The two have today off from work, so lunch date would be something fun for them to have together. I take them to the restaurant in Tartosa I downloaded off the Gallery in a previous chapter in this Generation.

I have Vince go to the front counter to request a table. They get seated indoors by the host’s station. Last time they were seated on the balcony outside. I’m glad it is switched up. I was afraid they’d be put on the balcony again. It is a beautiful scenery, though.

I have Vince order for himself and Aoi. For drinks, Vince orders Juice on the Rocks for himself and Tang and Zing for Aoi. For their main course meal, I have Vince get them both the Chef’s Choice of Lobster Tortellini.

Sadly, Vince and Aoi never receive their food before the date ends. However, they still get a gold status as they chatted with each other the whole time. I guess that’s all that matters.

I am going to end the chapter here. The next chapter will be Vince’s last Generation 2 chapter and then I’ll start Jason (Jay) Sims adventure in Magnolia Promenade.
