Worlds Apart: 2.23: The Lottery

Late at night in-game time while the household is sleeping; I get two notifications. Both of Aoi’s parents have passed away.

During the family morning breakfast together, Vince receives a Mastery Perk where he can gain skills in his sleep. That is pretty nice.

Today is Lottery Day in-game. I’ll have both Vince and Aoi try to win. Unfortunately, teenagers are not allowed to buy a ticket. Geordi won the lottery in Generation 1 after a couple tries. I’ll see if his luck rubs off on this Generation. Vince is already a millionaire, but it would be nice to give Jay more simoleons when he moves out.

Vince and Aoi have work while Will and Jay have school. I don’t think the boys want to attend classes today. Education is important, though.

When Will and Jay arrive home from school, I have them work out together. Vince doesn’t get home for another hour. This also allows Jay to finish the Bodybuilder Aspiration, so he’ll live a longer life. As he will be aging up to a young adult in a week’s in-game time, I won’t have him work on another aspiration at this point in time.

I also get a notification as they are working out about being close to one another. Their relationship keeps growing stronger and stronger. Will knows his time is coming soon to become a young adult and is talking about where he’s going to move to.

The three men have mac and cheese for dinner since Aoi is at work and cannot have it without getting sick.

Unfortunately, the stove broke when Vince was making dinner. I wait until after they eat for him to repair it.

Vince’s sister, Cass, calls to talk.

The next morning, the family has breakfast together.

The children have school while both parents have the day off.

Since Vince and Aoi don’t have to work, I decide I am going to send them on their own date for today in-game. I added an Italian style restaurant from the Gallery that a Sims fan created into my Tartosa World. I did some minor updates with the employee uniforms to make it suit a little better.

Vince and Aoi check in and request a table. It is cool that they are seated on the balcony.

I want to assume that Vince is talking about the lovely music as the server is bringing their meal.

I had quite a bit of lag, but the end results are a success by being rewarded with a Gold Medal.

The date is not complete without a romantic kiss before heading home, for which the boys are already back from school.

Upon bringing Vince and Aoi home from their date, I find Will and Jay autonomously swimming. It looks as if they might be having a race.

The results are in for the lottery. Sadly, this household did not win.

As the next day arrives, this will be the last breakfast with all family members. Will ages up to a young adult today and will move out.

I’m hoping Will doesn’t age up to a young adult during his last day of classes. During one of Jay’s classes, his teacher puts him in charge when they have to step out. Jay isn’t the goofball type when it comes to school in my opinion.

I have both Vince and Aoi cook, which should really be bake, a cake for Will for when he comes home from school.

When the boys get home from school, it’s time to age Will up to a young adult. The household has made over 1.5m simoleons. I’m giving Will one third of that as he moves into his new home in Magnolia Promenade. He’ll be neighbors with his younger bro when Jay becomes a young adult and also moves into that World. However, since I am letting the game take over for Will now, he could potentially move out and into a different World.

I go into CAS and give Jay a small facial hair update to make himself look a little older.

I am going to stop here for this chapter. It’s shorter than normal. In the next chapter, Jay will be going to his second Prom, this time without his big bro, Will.
