As part of Vince’s midlife crisis, he wants to paint three emotional paintings, so I will have him start with that. I buy him an easel. Vince also decides he wants to try to play the violin, so I buy him one of those as well.
As Aoi will not get off work until 9pm in-game time, the men of the household will have dinner without her. The highchair is removed, and everyone gets to sit in the regular chairs.
After dinner, I get a notification that Will is going through a phase and has found an animal he connects with. It’s a bear. And he wants to wear a bear suit all the time. I think he’s a pear bear today, in-game.
Later that night, Aoi comes home from work with a promotion. Good for her. She’s been working hard autonomously.
The next morning, Vince is up early making breakfast for the family. It’s now Sunday. He has no work. Aoi has work later in the afternoon. No school for the children. Everyone enjoys eggs and toast. Will continues to be a bear.
Since Vince doesn’t have work today, I’m going to have him spend most of the day at the spa and gym. I guess Aoi wanted to see what his meditation classes are all about. She popped into the lot autonomously and when I have Vince start a guided meditation session, Aoi automatically joins. That’s pretty cool. Turns out to be a ladies meditation class. His stepsister’s husband, Taku, comes over for a yoga session. When his day is over, Vince is able to complete another part of the aspiration and makes the simoleons required.
Vince gets home close to dinner time. Aoi is at work already. Not sure what the boys were doing, but they are old enough to be home alone now. I have the three men of the household have dinner together. I’m not sure how Will can eat through the bear head costume, but he does a good job at it.
After dinner, I have Vince continue his work on his midlife crisis tasks. He decides to paint something while holding onto the dirty dishes from dinner.
Vince’s sister gives him a call. Maybe it’s to tell him that he forgot she and her twin sister aged up to young adults and didn’t call. I know I forgot, or I would have mentioned earlier about it. I’m glad they did before Generation 1 Founder, Geordi, passes away.
I am glad Will and Jason are having a good sibling relationship. As I nicknamed William to Will when he aged to the child lifestage, I’m going to be nicknaming Jason to Jay going forward.
The next morning, it’s the traditional family breakfast together. Will is not in his bear suit, however. I wonder if the phase is over.
Now that it’s Monday, both Will and Jay have school. This is Jay’s first day. He looks prepped and ready to go. I’m guessing his big brother told him what to expect.
I have a mod that automatically pays the bills, so I don’t have to remember every few days or when they arrive. The household never gets any mail because of that. Today, there is mail, and I am curious what it is. I haven’t checked Vince’s inventory for a very long time. I see things that I don’t even know how he got. I do my best to check notifications, but sometimes I miss things. In any event, there are pretty nice things in his inventory. Some of the things are sellable. Others, I’d just like to keep.
Vince has work today, so he won’t be going to the spa or gym. I like how he admires the bodybuilder trophy he received.
Aoi has the day off and her having the house to herself for a short while, she autonomously takes the time to relax in their pool.
At work, Vince has to give feedback to a coworker. I believe he would add some praise for the good stuff along with presenting any negative that comes from the conversation to balance it out.
Will and Jay arrive home from school at 3pm in-game time. It seems Jay had a better day than Will did. Vince doesn’t come home from work for another hour, so I have Jay work on his Mind and Body Aspiration with increasing his motor skills on the computer.
When Vince gets home from work, I have him help Jay learn how to ride a bike.
The family gets to enjoy dinner together.
While everyone was sleeping, Jay wakes up. There seems to be a monster under his bed. His panic wakes up his brother, Will, who happens to be in his bear suit again. Jay autonomously wakes up dad to help. Vince looks disappointed for being woke up. He never had this when he was a child.
Vince has a spray bottle pretending to spray the monster under the bed. This seems to work as Jay goes to bed autonomously right after. Hopefully he is feeling safer now.
After falling back to sleep, Will loses his loose tooth.
Tuesday morning arrives. Vince has the day off, so he’ll be going to the gym and spa. Aoi has work in the afternoon. Will and Jay have school. The family gets to enjoy another breakfast together, first.
After breakfast, Will and Jay head off to school together. Poor Will has a missing tooth since it fell out. Hopefully the new one will grow back soon.
I’m going to end this chapter here. The next chapter will have Vince going to the gym and spa. I’m hoping he’ll finish his Self-Care Specialist for the Wellness Aspiration. William will hopefully be aging up to a teenager in the next chapter.
