As the date with Aoi ends, Vince receives a new personality trait of being loyal. I guess this shows he really wants her to be his wife.
Next week in-game is Love Day. This is the day I plan on having Vince and Aoi wed. I’ll be doing some behind-the-scenes work having Vince get to know family and friends in her relationship panel, so some can be invited to the wedding. One can only invite Sims from their own relationship panel that is being controlled. I ended up creating Aoi’s parents as Aoi was game generated without any, so I need to make sure they are invited.
Electronic Arts and Maxis came out with a My Wedding Story pack. This came with a new World, Tartosa. There are many new events to go with a wedding. I will be exploring these when I get to the Generation that goes to Tartosa. However, I will be using the Ceremony portion for any weddings prior.
When Vince arrives home after his date and marriage proposal, I have him give some attention to Brutus. I imagine he is telling his pup the good news.
After dinner, I have Vince invite his family over to watch a new television season premiere. Geordi is the first to arrive. His sibling twin sisters Cassie and Zoe are behind dad. Bringing up the rear is Xochitl.
Everyone begins settling in, even Brutus. Last generation, it showed the name of the show that was premiering the new season. Not this generation. I can only assume it’s the same show, Peach Is the New Orange.
Geordi autonomously goes outside to workout. Typical Geordi. I have Vince join. This is where I have Vince ask his dad to be a Sim of Honor at his wedding. This was introduced in the My Wedding Stories pack. For Generations up to my Tartosa World Generation, I will use this and not any of the other events that came with that pack.
I love the fact that his mom is there to watch her son ask his dad.
As it’s a little chilly outside, I have them all go back inside the house. There, I find it only fitting to have Vince give his parents resident keys so they can come over anytime they want. Geordi is an elder and I don’t even know how much time he has left.
Vince immediately picks up a new Like after giving a key to his mom and hugging her.
Before bed, Vince receives a text message. Word gets out fast.
As the next day arrives, Vince is going back to work. He makes sure to feed Brutus before he feeds himself.
After breakfast, it’s off to work for Vince.
It’s more care giving to Brutus when Vince arrives home after work. Brutus will age up to an adult dog soon.
It’s time to meet Aoi’s parents as Vince has an important question to ask her dad. I created Aoi’s parents from her genes. She was game generated as a teenager with no parents living homelessly. That didn’t feel right at the time when Vince met her. Now she has parents and actually living in a home.
It’s still the winter season. There’s snow in other Worlds compared to Oasis Springs where there is no snow, but it’s still cold outside. Aoi’s mom is outside when Vince arrives, so he greets her first. Then it’s knocking on the door to be invited in. Silly that I speak to Olivia but still need to be invited in. There, he greets Aoi’s dad, Albert.
This is where I have Vince ask Albert a very important question. Would he be willing to be the Officiant at the wedding.
Now all Vince needs is a Ring Bearer and Flower Pal. I’m thinking of him asking his best friend Reese that he grew up with to be his Ring Bearer and stepsister, Karmine, to be his Flower Pal.
I have Vince go over to Karmine’s house to see if she is home. She, her hubby, and their child live in San Sequoia. Winter there is similar to Oasis Springs. No snow. It’s a warm winter as well. His niece, Lorena, is outside. He met her when she was and infant during Winterfest. I like that the game gave her green hair. She is wearing green boots, so I can only imagine she wanted her hair color to match and her parents caved. Toddler for the win.
Karmine is inside. They greet each other and Vince asks the question.
It’s 5pm in-game time, so I send Vince home so he can have dinner. His Hunger Need is in the yellow anyway.
I want to make sure I get all the wedding details squared away for participants. Aoi’s dad is going to be the Officiant, Vince’s dad is going to be Sim of Honor, and his stepsister is going to be the Flower Pal. The only thing left is the Ring Bearer.
I want Vince’s best friend since he was a child to have that part in his wedding. So, I have Vince invite Reese Bailey over. I think Reese is excited since the two haven’t seen each other in a while. I have Vince ask him the question. By Reese’s response, Vince is going to have a great wedding.
Before bed, I have Vince do some meditation. He finds meditating fun and his Fun Need has gone into the orange. He is so focused; Vince is able to stay in meditation mode and float above his meditation seat.
As the next morning arrives, Vince is heading back to work. First, breakfast needs to be had as his Hunger level has reached yellow.
Then it’s time to go to work. Another promotion should be around the corner. Vince will either get one today in-game or tomorrow.
Brutus takes a nap while his owner is away at work.
Alas, Vince did not get his promotion. He will next time. However, I’ll have to have him work Normal, as he’s gone into a work daze.
I am going to end this chapter here with Vince coming home from work. Next chapter, he will get that promotion. It’s also the chapter before the big wedding.
