For the second generational Sim, Vince was conceived of Geordi Sims from the last Generation. I have given him a small makeover to start him off with. I kept the custom hairstyle as I really enjoy that look on him. I gave Vince some facial hair and a tattoo on his arm. Generation 1 founder did not have any tattoos, but his wife did. I redid his wardrobe slightly as well. Those are the only changes I made.
In the previous generation, Vince completed the Bodybuilder Aspiration. I am starting him off with the Wellness Aspiration as a young adult. There are three areas. He is beginning with Inner Peace. Using a mod, I was able to put Vince into an adult career right away when he graduated early from high school. He is in the Athlete Career just like his mom. However, I had Vince choose the Bodybuilder track unlike his mom, who chose the Professional Athlete track.
The three traits Vince has for beginning his own generational journey are Active, Foodie, and Ambitious. I picked these three to help him along his journey of fitness and wellness.
Vince is moving to a custom-built house in Oasis Springs on the Pebble Burrow lot. I did not create this lot, but rather found it on the Sims Gallery. Moving him in, he is left with 425,961 simoleons from the 525,033 he brought with him. I’ve added all the fun stuff Vince achieved growing up which will hopefully be recognized if one has read the previous Generation when reading future Generation 2 chapters. I’ll leave it up for the reader to find.
It’s Saturday morning in the winter season. Winter is different in Oasis Springs compared to what it was in Willow Creek. It is cold, but there is no snow. Vince works at 8am in-game time. I get him up at 5am for breakfast. This is the first time he is having breakfast alone.
Soon, it’s time for Vince to go to work. He’s a Personal Trainer. He’s met all his promotional tasks, so hopefully it won’t take long for him to get a promotion.
After work, Vince comes home close to the promotion. He did earn a vacation day. Hopefully, the next day he works he can get that promotion.
I want to see who Vince’s work buddies are. I know his mom, Xochitl, is one. I am surprised, but not surprised, to see someone he mentored as a co-worker now. Aoi was a teenager when Vince last saw her. Now she’s a young adult working at the same place as him. Way to go, Aoi. And good job to Vince I guess for convincing her to work in the Athlete Career.
I’d like Vince to have a romantic relationship with someone he works with. Nin is compatible according to the game. But I’d like to see how things go with Aoi. I have him invite Aoi over after I get him changed out of his work clothes.
I have Vince perform some Friendly actions and then move to Romantic ones and see how well Aoi takes it. I learn a little bit more about her.
When Vince met her last at the gym, he found out she was lactose tolerant. It looks like now she is also a vegetarian. His dad is a vegetarian, and his stepsister is lactose intolerant. If this relationship works, it looks like I get to make sure the family is eating proper food again.
By the end of their hanging out together, Vince and Aoi have formed a small romantic relationship. I’ll keep it going with a date in the upcoming in-game days.
Towards the end of the day, I have Vince work on his Wellness Aspiration of having Inner Peace by doing some meditation.
The next morning it’s New Year’s Eve. I have Vince get up bright and early again for his morning breakfast. A pop up appears when he gets up about being Cheerful. Of course, I have him embrace it and receive the trait. Then it’s off to work. Hopefully he gets that promotion.
As Vince is at work, I have nothing better to do than watch his progression. And I notice he is going to make that promotion today in-game. When he comes home, he is now a Professional Bodybuilder. He receives a ZenXercise Weight Machine, for which I put in place of his other one.
A tradition I decided I was going to start with the Founder and then through each generation, was to have each heir(ess) buy a money tree. This is a generic gameplay I am doing just for fun. No challenge requirements except my own personal ones. So, it’s not cheating for simoleons if my Sims earned the right to have something. Vince has over 12k reward points to spend. Planting his money tree, he gets interested in Gardening.
Since it’s New Year’s Eve, I have Vince start a couple of the requirements. I have him do some light decorations and then get on his laptop to buy some fireworks. It looks like a neighbor or passerby is enjoying the house decor.
I’m going to have Vince invite his family over for a New Year’s Eve dinner and hopefully they stay long enough to ring in the new year with him. For now, he prepares the meal.
At 5pm in-game time, Vince invites his family over. They do some talking and then it’s time for dinner.
When it’s dark enough outside, I have everyone gather around for the fireworks. It’s raining outside, so hopefully this still works. It doesn’t. I have to crack up to see that it looks like Vince’s mom is explaining to him that water will defuse the light.
At least they can celebrate with drinks. Because Vince’s sisters are in the child lifestage, I have him make rootbeer floats for them all.
As the family is watching the countdown, I have Vince make a New Year’s Resolution. I’m planning on making Aoi his girlfriend sometime this week in-game.
Soon enough, the countdown begins and Vince rings in the New Year with his family.
I am going to end this chapter here with that father and son hug. Next chapter, Vince will hopefully go on his first date with Aoi.
