Part of Geordi’s final promotion, he receives an Apollo Rocketship. I had him already start one that was bought, but I’d like all my Sims to keep any promotional items they receive and use them rather than sell them. So, I sell the one he is working on, and he’ll start all over on this new one.
As Tuesday rolls around, both Geordi and Xochitl have work and Vince has school. Vince won’t have any football stuff today. The three have morning breakfast together.
The last task in Vince’s first milestone for his Goal Oriented Aspiration is to work on homework 5 times. For the rest of these, I’ll be sending him into school alone.
Geordi gets a call from the school stating that Vince is allegedly hacking into their computers. I don’t even see Vince as a programmer. I’m sure the school is just jumping to conclusions.
As I am letting Xochitl do her own thing autonomously as I wait for her to go to work and Vince to come home from school, I get a notification that she is eating for two. Yes, Xochitl is pregnant. I guess going to the bathroom, convinced this baby to make itself known. I don’t know when this happened. It must have been some time when I was controlling Vince. I am still sending her into work, so it will be a nice surprise for Geordi when she gets home late to tell him.
When Vince comes home from school, he is also bringing home an A grade. The look on his face must be he doesn’t like the fact he has acne. Poor kid. His Fun Need is in the orange, so I send him to do a bit of working out. Plus, he’s home alone for a couple hours.
While working out, Vince gets a call from his school. This is his second day and since he’s already an A student, he gets the option to graduate early. I’m going to have him pass as I want him to complete his aspiration which deals with being in high school. If this was more towards his aging up day and his aspiration was complete, I would jump on this for him. I might just allow him to graduate early once I do complete his Goal Oriented Aspiration, though.
Although it is getting dark outside and a bit cold, I want to make sure father and son get a little football practice in so Vince will be ready for the meet tomorrow after school.
When Xochitl comes home from work, I make her share the big news with Geordi. He is a bit surprised at first, but then he has a thought bubble of the bed. I’m hoping it’s just because he’s tired and doesn’t want to woohoo again with her.
As the next day arrives, it is Spooky Day. This is equivalent to Halloween. Both Geordi and Xochitl are supposed to work, but I’ll have them use a vacation day to do some pumpkin carving.
Vince is sporting off some Spooky Day boxer briefs custom content I found while he makes the family breakfast.
After breakfast, Vince heads off to school alone again. Only a couple more days like this and I’ll follow him back to school some more. I will have him meet new classmates and hopefully make new friends in the meantime.
I’m also going to have Vince set up a Spooky Party for the evening and invite his teenager friends. Dad and mom will have to be the hosts as they will need to chaperone the party. Vince invites the maximum number of Sims he can, including his big sis even though she is older than a teenager. Finally, the time of the party is at 6pm at his house.
I do a lot of the house decorating behind the scenes. I have Geordi cook and bake up some Spooky Day treats for in the evening. In doing so, Geordi ends up liking to cook. Here’s to hoping the guests actually take part and eat some of the treats when the party happens.
I then have Geordi work on carving a pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.
A half hour after Vince is home from school, it’s time for him to attend football practice. As he is leaving, it looks like he is digging the Spooky Day decorations.
Now it’s Xochitl turn to carve a pumpkin. She starts by digging out the seeds. However, as she starts the actual carving, she throws a fit and stops. I try a few times to get her to work on it with no luck. Not sure what is going on, but I give up.
When Vince comes home from football practice, I change the family into their Spooky Day costumes. All are custom content outfits I found. Soon, the notification appears to start the event.
Geordi tries to scare a trick-or-treater that comes to the door.
One of Vince’s classmates, Julie, seems to be sad. I try and have Vince cheer her up and even ask for a party treat.
Xochitl sits outside with some of Vince’s classmates. Madelyn doesn’t seem to be impressed to be hanging out with an adult.
I’m enjoying all these costumes. I bet Geordi enjoys seeing the Astronaut Career costumes. There have been two so far from the teenagers who’ve arrived.
After a bit of mingling, I make sure everyone enjoys the sweet treats that Geordi had made. Because I have all three in the household do a Call to Meal on three separate food items, some of the guests put up question mark bubbles. But they all end up picking something in the end.
Vince looks on as his best friend, Reese, carves a pumpkin.
The game tells me Spooky Day was unsuccessful. I have to disagree. I think it’s a great success. Because I missed one task of not having two carved pumpkins during the event, I failed. As this was my first Spooky Party in any of my gameplays, I know what to kind of expect for next time.
I’m going to end the chapter here with the end of the Spooky Party. Next chapter, Vince will be going to his first Prom. Hopefully Xochitl will also go into labor and we’ll see a new nooboo in the family.
