For my first generational Sim, I randomized what the Sim would look like. I even randomized the first name. I had to make the surname as Sims. Only makes sense for this gameplay. I didn’t want to have to think too much for this. The only thing that took thinking was on how to dress Geordi. The skintone and facial features were all random. I even kept the hairstyle the game gave him. Further generations, I feel like I’ll decide what new hairstyles will be given. Sometimes, the game can make horrible decisions.
An advertising image for Willow Creek shows a spaceship being launched from a backyard. I am debating on if Geordi would take on the Astronaut Career because of this. To me, an astronaut will want do some working out as they prepare to go out into space. So, Geordi is put into the Bodybuilder Aspiration. Because of this, I wanted him to be basic when it came to his physical fitness look.
Because Geordi will be working out a lot, it is only fitting to have him in the Active trait. He might as well be a health nut in a way and will be a good challenge for me to remember, Geordi is a Vegetarian. For his last trait, I would hope Geordi is Loyal, therefore I gave him that trait. I will let the game decide on his Likes and Dislikes. I will approve whatever the game offers.
Geordi lives in one of the premade houses in Willow Creek. I’m not to keen and don’t think I do a good job on designing housing from the ground up. I can probably do better at remodeling a house already built.
I haven’t done the Astronaut Career before, but I know a little about it reading and watching other gameplays. As building a rocketship is not part of the Astronaut Career, it will be fun to have a rocketship coincide. Geordi is going to be a busy man. But first, I have to get him into the Astronaut Career to make some simoleons. He’ll start work tomorrow, bright and early since today is Sunday for him.
It’s a cloudy Spring morning. Geordi wants to go for a jog. And already, Geordi Likes Fitness when he is finished.
Since Geordi now Likes Fitness, it will be a good time to hit the gym in Willow Creek to get some excercising done and work on his Bodybuilder Aspiration. The struggle is real. I feel for Geordi. I remember in high school taking gym class and looking like that on the weight machines. You got this, Geordi.
Isn’t this funny. Eco Master, Knox Greenburg, has good taste in fitness clothes. I didn’t even plan this. I did choose the outfit for Geordi. But I didn’t realize it matches Knox’s, just in a different color.
It’s only fitting to go say hello to Knox. Perhaps compliment him on his appearance and all. For some reason, Knox was Embarrassed when Geordi approached him. But not so much after, he became Energized. Geordi learns new things about Knox.
Geordi’s Hygiene is in the yellow and so it is time to give him a shower and bid farewell to Knox for today. I send him to the showers in the gym. I enjoy the little bits like how Geordi looks like he is making sure shower water doesn’t get in his mouth.
As he is taking a shower, I notice behind Geordi. There’s an open space. Not sure if the build is really like this or something glitched in my game and some walls disappeared. I have it set so Walls Up View – End is set. But any Sim in the locker room area can see inside the shower and now, can see a nekkid Geordi. He’s an average build right now, but once his Aspiration is done, Geordi will be nice and buff and probably won’t mind other Sims checking him out.
After the shower and using the toilet, if was time to send Geordi home. Spending a couple few hours working out got him well on his way at the beginning of his Aspiration.
Geordi’s Hunger is now in the yellow. It’s almost 5pm, so it’s a good time for him to have dinner. As he is heading into the kitchen, he gets a call from Knox. It looks like he wants to give Geordi’s number to one of his friend’s who’s been asking about Geordi. He says yes, but I’m not so sure it was a good idea. Time will tell, as he just met Knox not too long ago.
Then it was time for Geordi to make his vegetable dumplings. Luckily, clicking on the fridge to make dinner only gives me veggie options. As long as Geordi is making food, I know he is safe from eating non vegetarian food.
Part of the daily tasks as an Intern to be an astronaut is to play chess. Geordi doesn’t have a chess table, so I have to buy him one for his home.
While practicing, Knox calls again. This time he is asking Geordi if he wants to become a criminal. Maybe Knox isn’t the right person to be hanging out with. I hope Knox doesn’t get clingy with Geordi. Obviously Geordi declines the offer.
I have Geordi finish up playing chess and satisfied enough to go into work prepared tomorrow. Not sure how playing chess will help Geordi become a great astronaut, but this is The Sims.
It’s about 9pm at this point. Geordi isn’t tired yet, but his Energy is getting close to the yellow mark. I decide to put him to bed, so he can have a fresh start on his first day.
The next morning, Geordi is well rested. I get him up early enough to make sure his Needs are met and he goes into work with all of them in the green. Then he switches into his Intern uniform and heads off to work. He’s got the thought bubble of a star. Good luck on your first day, Geordi.
I’m going to end this chapter here. I don’t like long written gameplay or story chapters, so when I post them myself, I like to keep them short. The next chapter, we will see how well Geordi did on his first day and maybe see if he can meet some new Sims besides Knox. I was hoping the two could become friends, but Knox is being weird right now.
