It is the last day of the autumn season, but winter has arrived again. Snow begins to fall steadily. Probably not enough to accumulate on the ground, but only time will tell.
While Xochitl is still at work, the men and toddler girls enjoy a family dinner together.
As the next day arrives, it’s a new week and the first day of Winter. Geordi has the day off again while Xochitl and Vince have to work. Pretty much the same routine as yesterday in-game. The family will be able have breakfast and lunch together. Vince’s new work hours has him working until 9pm like his mother.
Afterwards, I send Geordi out to work on the rocket ship upgrades, Vince to work out for his Aspiration and career promotional task, and Xochitl to play with the toddler twins.
Geordi ends up maxing out the Rocket Science Skill while upgrading the rocket ship. He is still working on the first upgrade when doing so. But maxing out the skill will open up a couple upgrades he wasn’t able to try for. Once the upgrade is complete, I have him work on the next highest cost upgrade. There’s less than an in-game week before I start Generation 2, so Geordi will not be able to finish all upgrades, but it is fun having him do a couple.
Because both Xochitl and Vince are at work until 9pm in-game, Geordi gets to have dinner alone with his twin toddler daughters. It’s supposed to be mac and cheese. Doesn’t look rather appetizing to be that, but it’s a favorite amongst most Sims.
Xochitl and Vince arrive home together at 9pm in-game time. Vince was so close to getting another promotion but missed it by a smidge. He should be able to reach that point on Tuesday.
As Monday now arrives, the work experience is opposite. Geordi has to work while Xochitl and Vince have the day off. The toddler twins will head off to preschool as well. But first is the family breakfast. I decide to allow the toddler twins to have what the rest of the family is having. Zoe looks like she is watching mom first to see if she likes it while Cassie digs right in with fork and hand.
Vince is moving at a fast pace completing the Bodybuilder Aspiration. I have him go back to the gym in Oasis Springs to finish off his current milestone. He just needs one more hour working out. I’d have him complete it at home, but it’s snowing and freezing outside. All his athletic outfits are not meant for outdoors in the cold. Poor guy will freeze.
And just like that… Vince is on his final milestone for the Bodybuilder Aspiration. And moments after that, he completes the Aspiration. I won’t have him start the Wellness Aspirations until he turns into a young adult and I begin the Generation 2 book (or season).
While working out, Vince receives a text from a friend he made growing up congratulating him on his latest promotion at work.
At 5pm in-game time, Geordi comes home from work with a raise. And there’s snow on the ground.
I don’t think Zoe is too fond of the snow right now.
The family has some spicey soup for dinner this evening. I didn’t realize it is this type of spiciness. My bad. Poor family will have heartburn tonight.
Tuesday arrives and it is the day before Winterfest. Geordi, Xochitl, and Vince have work today. The toddler twins will attend preschool. It’s going to be a busy day for all of them today. But first, the usual family meal together. Xochitl is sad because someone in her relationship panel that she knew died.
Geordi is the first to arrive home from work. He has happy thoughts about gardening. I think it’s because of the Simoleon Tree he planted at the beginning of the Generation. It’s been a steady 11k simoleons each day just from the tree. With him also winning the lottery in an earlier chapter, the family is over 1.5m simoleons in household funds.
Because Xochitl and Vince won’t be home until 9pm, Geordi enjoys dinner together with his two twin daughters.
Xochitl and Vince arrive home at the same time again since they both work at the same place. But now, Vince gets a promotion where he can now work in the Bodybuilder branch of the Athlete Career. A different route than what his mother took. Xochitl is still sad from someone passing away in her relationship panel.
As part of his promotion to Personal Trainer, Vince receives a No Sweat, No Fuss Rug. It is a gray colored large rug. Luckily, I can change the size. And it allows a color change. I swap it out with the one he has in his room. This was in the household inventory, so not sure if he can take it with him to his new house in Oasis Springs when I move him out. I’m going to take as much as I can that he received as gifts.
As the next day arrives, it is Winterfest. My game must have a glitch somewhere as this is the second time an event will not show up for all family members. Geordi and Xochitl don’t have the event listing in the top left, but Vince, Cassie, and Zoe do.
I found matching pajamas custom content for the holidays. I think it’s pretty cute they all are matching. Because it’s a holiday, none of them have work and the toddler twins will not be going to preschool. They begin the Winterfest day with a grand breakfast meal made by Geordi and Xochitl. I thought it was vegetarian safe, but I guess it was not in the end. Poor Geordi. I’m sorry.
Then it is time to add some decorations to the outside and inside of the house. It isn’t much, but it makes it feel a little more Winterfest.
Geordi, Xochitl, and Vince decorate the tree. The toddler girls are too young to help.
Presents were wrapped and put under the tree. Well, no wrapping was really done. Gifts will be a surprise for even me and the readers. I think Zoe wants simoleons.
I have the family put on their cold weather outfits to go outside and enjoy some time in the snow. First, they build snowpals. Mom and dad build one while the kids build another.
The toddler twins have fun playing in the snow.
After, it is time to go back inside and back into their pajamas. Later that evening in-game, I switch over to Karmine. I have her travel with the household over to the household of Geordi. I’d have him invite over Karmine and family, but an infant cannot be invited over. I then switch back to Geordi’s household. This will work for now.
When I was at Karmin’s household, I made them all have matching pajamas as well and put them in their own PJs when visiting. Since I am controlling Geordi and family again, I have him pick up his stepgranddaugher, Lorena, when Karmine puts her down on the floor.
Gifts were exchanged with Karmine and her husband, Taku.
As I know Father Winter will hopefully be arriving soon, I have Geordi, Xochitl, Vince, and the toddler twins open a gift from under the tree. Kids first, though.
Cassie receives a dollhouse. This will replace the one in the toddlers bedroom. Zoe gets a picture book. Vince finds a world globe in his box. He’ll take it with him when he moves out. Geordi actually finds nothing in his gift box. Poor guy. Someone played a prank, and he is the victim. Lastly, Xochitl receives an athletic poster. It will be placed in her and Geordi’s bedroom.
Around 8:15pm in-game time, Father Winter makes his appearance. Since there is no fireplace, Father Winter makes his way through the front door. I have the family greet him.
Then, the family gets to ask Father Winter for a Winterfest gift. Geordi is first as he was pranked out of one before.
Geordi is given a postcard. I guess Father Winter felt like being silly with Geordi. Maybe hinting he needs a vacation. Father Winter gives Xochitl a digital camera. She must have been on the nice list for sure. Vince receives a coffee maker from Father Winter. This will definitely go in his new home when he moves out. I have Cassie ask Father Winter for a present a few times and he just wouldn’t do it. Poor girl. Zoe receives a child violin. Perhaps she’ll use it when she gets older.
I am going to end the chapter here. Next chapter will be the finale for Generation 1. There will be some aging up first from quite a few household members. It’ll be a great way to end the Generation.
