About two hours after Karmine leaves for school, Xochitl goes into labor. I’m glad both Geordi and Xochitl took family leave. Geordi would be at work right now if he hadn’t.
Makes sense to have the baby at the hospital. Geordi will go with her since the baby is also his. Plus, it’s good to support your pregnant wife in her time of need.
Outside the hospital, Geordi goes into panic mode. What cracks me up is the thought bubble with food inside it. He didn’t leave any food out when the labor thing happened. Maybe he’s now worried about another mouth to feed.
Geordi finally stops panicking and checks his wife in at the front desk. Then it is go time for Xochitl to have the baby.
And it’s a boy. I already had names picked out for both genders that I specifically wanted. Welcome into the Sims world, Vince Sims.
A newborn lifestage is only one in-game day when played on Normal. So, I won’t have to take care of the newborn’s Needs too much.
While baby Vince is back home being taken care of, Karmine’s class has a group project and she is put in a group with smart kids. Not to say she isn’t smart herself. I doubt she would sit back and let the rest do the work and then take credit for helping. Plus, I wouldn’t think the other kids would allow that, either.
Since group projects would take a while to do, I just assume the class gets to go home afterwards. Karmine is now a B student. Good job, Karmine. Monday in-game, I’ll have her meet new classmates again.
I’m also going to have Karmine get a part time job. I am trying to build up as many simoleons in the household as I can. She will move out as a young adult somewhere and I want to have her take some simoleons with her. I will probably give her 1/3 of the household account. I am thinking a retail job would be best suited for Karmine.
Word travels fast. Knox text messages Geordi about his nooboo.
Overnight, both Geordi and Xochitl take turns caring for baby Vince as the other one tries to get some sleep.
Thankfully both Geordi and Xochitl were able to get enough sleep to get their Energy Needs in the green. When Geordi wakes up, I have him check in on the Simoleon Tree. It has started to grow. I was able to have Geordi harvest and sell 8k simoleons. Not too shabby there. I’m wondering if the better he takes care of it, the more simoleons that can be harvested.
It seems Karmine is taking after her mom and adoptive father.
At 6pm in-game time, Karmine is off to work on her first day. Bring in those simoleons, Karmine!
So, newborn Vince was supposed to age up on his own on Saturday, but now it’s after midnight and the next day. I decide I will age him up to infant on my own.
I choose the Calm trait for Vince as I have specifics for when he grows up. He’ll be following in the footsteps of both his parents in a way. I want Vince to be doing activities and moving around at his young age. And as soon as Vince becomes an infant, he unlocks the Smile milestone. Good for you, Vince!
I have to bring Vince into CAS, as the game gave him creepy demon eyes and I have to change that. Also, I give him another hairstyle and clothing.
First thing first is to feed infant Vince. Then nappy time for the youngster as his Energy Need was about to be in the yellow. And this allows for Geordi and Xochitl to get some sleep. The third bedroom that was in the house, I turned into an infant room and will upgrade it to a toddler room when Vince ages up.
It’s Sunday in-game and the first day of Summer. Geordi ages up to an adult this week and then Vince becomes a toddler the day after. I can’t believe Geordi is going to be a full-grown adult now.
Geordi is the first one up. He shaves and then automatically changes into an Everyday outfit and goes to make a breakfast meal. Then, infant Vince is the next to wake up with an Early Riser Quirk.
Since Vince is okay with his Needs, I wake up Xochitl and Karmine. Geordi calls them to the meal for breakfast.
Sadly, the sink breaks after washing the dishes. I was shocked to see Karmine to the rescue and autonomously go fix the sink on her own. What a good teenager she has turned out to be so far. I thought she was going through a rebellious phase, but maybe she’s already turned over a new leaf from working in retail. Geordi is looking on, probably proud of Karmine.
Then it’s Tummy Time Together with Geordi and infant Vince. Vince doesn’t look so happy about it.
After his playtime with infant Vince, Geordi is approached by his wife and soon it looks like their relationship becomes a little more.
Xochitl took a couple family leave days and now is ready to go back to work and be the MVP that she is. Since Geordi has the day off, he can take care of infant Vince while she is at work.
Infant Vince’s second quirk is revealed. Not only is he an early riser, but he loves waking up. Soon after, he uses his voice to start making sounds.
The next morning, it is time for Geordi to now go back to work. He is all set on his Promotion and Daily Tasks that he should get a promotion in a working day or two. I’ll have him work hard on his first day. He will probably get burned out, but I can have him relax later.
While Geordi is working hard as a Space Cadet, Xochitl is taking care of little Vince. She puts him down and I have him look at his toys. He immediately receives a new milestone. And right after, he achieves another one. Now he is a stinky boy. But look at that face. He is a happy stinky boy!
This is a good spot to end this chapter. We might see some aging up from Geordi and Vince in the next chapter depending on what happens in game. Hopefully Karmine will meet some teenage boys at school, and I can try and have her get a boyfriend. She’ll be aging up to a young adult soon.
