As Geordi needs to remain in Willow Creek, I find a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home for himself, Xochitl, and Karmine. It’s one of the default created homes that come with Willow Creek. I’m not big on creating new houses in The Sims. I don’t mind redecorating. I struggle with building from the ground up.
Their new home is a two-story house. The bedrooms are on the second floor. There is also a spacious backyard. I will be redecorating the house so it fits the three moving in. And the third room will hopefully be for a fourth member of the family.
I add all the household and personal inventory items that I can. In the living room, Gramma Eleanor’s urn sits on a shelf in front of their new television. Xochitl also had a guitar in their previous house, so I bring that along as well and add to the living room. And lastly in the living room are Geordi’s Astronaut Career gifts and Xochitl’s trophy from her Professional Athlete Career.
In the kitchen I put the champaigne bucket Geordi and Xochitl received on their date on one of the counters. I also bring along the three eggs Geordi found in his previous home on Flower Bunny Day and put them on the kitchen wall.
On the second floor as a Sim walks up the stairs, I add the photos I took of Xochitl, Karmine when she was a child, and Gramma Eleanor when she was alive. Will add to the wall soon with more photos of the updated family. I will most likely rearrange the photos as more are taken.
In Geordi and Xochitl’s bedroom, I enlarge the selfie he took of the two and put it above their bed. Next to that on the wall, I add their marriage certificate they received. On the wall next to their bed, I display the poster Xochitl received as a gift from her Professional Athlete Career and have Geordi’s Portable Galaxy Lightshow he received in the Astronaut Career. On the dresser is a photo of Xochitl’s Sports Team from her Professional Athlete Career.
The only things I kept from Karmine from her child lifestage and added to her new bedroom were the keepsake box that I can only assume was from Gramma Eleanor and her friendship bracelet kit.
On the second floor balcony is where I place the two workout machines I purchased for Geordi that came with the Fitness Pack.
Xochitl had a bicycle outside her previous home, so I made sure to bring that along. There were also two gnome figurines in the yard that I had to make sure Xochitl added to her personal inventory.
With both Geordi and Xochitl in a Flirty mood, I decide perhaps they should try for a baby. With this, we find out Xochitl Likes Physical Intimacy.
Geordi was already exhausted after they moved. I let him sleep after all that woohooing. Xochitl doesn’t seem to mind watching him sleep as well.
I have Xochitl go to the bathroom and do a pregnancy test to see if she is pregnant or not. I have it set to the default of an 80% chance of getting pregnant. This moment wasn’t their time. Better luck next time, maybe.
Around 7pm, it is dinner time. Geordi, Xochitl, and Karmine sit down at the table for a meal together for the first time. I also take the time to edit Geordi and Xochitl in CAS and update all their outfits with a wedding ring on their left hand. I also go ahead and add Geordi as a Care Dependent to Karmine. He’s not her birth father, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t consider her his daughter now.
I want all three to get on the same sleep schedule, or at least try to. Even if they’re not tired, I put them all to bed a little after 10pm. Geordi does not have work tomorrow, but Xochitl does more towards the evening hours. Karmine has her first day of high school in the morning.
The next morning, I send Karmine off to her first day of high school. I have the option to go with her, but I will not be for her time in school. Geordi is the focus. However, I will do what I can to help her get good grades. Maybe make a friend or two in school since she has been constantly sad from her Gramma Eleanor passing away.
During the move to a new house, I also put the Money Tree back into Geordi’s inventory. It was still a lump of dirt at the time. Now that it is the next day, the tree has sprouted. The family household is just over 57k simoleons, but I’d like them to gain as much as possible as I will be dividing the funds up later as Karmine leaves the house and then the next heir(ess) after her.
It’s time to try for another baby. Geordi ages up to the Adult lifestyle in ten Sims days. I’d prefer him to still be a young adult raising at least an infant.
Since Xochitl’s Hygiene Need is almost in the yellow, why not woohoo in the shower before actually taking one.
It is time for another pregancy test with Xochitl. The results are in and it looks like she wants to share the news with Geordi. She is also already showing. How things move in The Sims game. It will take three Sims days with her pregnancy. That is the default.
During this time, it is nice to see that Karmine has met a lot of other teenagers during high school without my help. Interesting enough, one of them has a first name that matches her last name. She didn’t seem to meet any boys today. Might be a good thing for her first day. I did select the option to Make Friends for her. I’ll wait until her grades are up to do that again.
I’m going to end this chapter at this point. I hit one of my goals for this chapter of getting Xochitl pregnant. Next chapter we will see if it’s a boy or girl.
