#BuildNewcrest: Day 54

Build Newcrest Challenge: Generation 2: Jubilee Simself

Day 54 (Household Income: §17,762)

I was excited yesterday to find out that both my bro and dad got promotions at their workplace.

Good morning. After sleeping on it, I decided I am going to quit today. I’ll work my 2 hours, but then it’s over with.

I’m home. And first thing I am going to by as heir of this family is a coffee machine! Why? Because I did it. I quit. But I need my fix in the mornings. I think I’m addicted now.

During breakfast, I tell my family I quit my job. But I also tell mom that I want to go work with her now after I become a young adult.

Then it’s off to school we go. Tomorrow is our last day, so today we get a final project that will determine our overall grade.

Patrick was waiting for me when I get home. I am so glad he is going to help on my project.

The project I got was to construct a bridge. What a weird project. But handyman Patrick can help me. I take him to my bedroom where I unload the box of parts.

He makes me do most of the work, but does help with the technical parts of it.

It was getting real late and we still didn’t finish, but it was almost complete. I even missed dinner, but dad had leftovers in the fridge. I ask Patrick if he wants a bite to eat.

I ask Patrick how my dad’s cooking is and he likes it.

I hug Patrick goodbye and thank him again for helping.

I stay up late and finish my project. I don’t have to worry about getting up real early in the morning for work. But when I was done, I am a little mad. This little thing took me all night? What the plum!

Then it’s bedtime. I need sleep. I can’t believe a little project like this would take someone all night. It was all the weight and measurement I bet. Stupid math!

  • Do they know what level of project they get or is it determined by their grade? I have never had a child or teen do a school project as yet, so not sure about this. Anyway, the good news is that Juju did finish it, so forget about it. It’s done!

    • I’m not sure. They get the project a couple days in from school. I use it as a last project story bit. Makes it more fun to read.

    • It literally took all day game-time for her and Patrick to work on that. And look at the results! WTF! I was expecting some awesome looking construction.
