Chapter 4<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

While Bob was at his Catering job, he was thinking about his actions and feelings earlier. He was beginning to regret it. If Eliza wanted to leave him, he had to let her explain why. He didn\u2019t like it, but it was the right thing to do. He finished his job with the intentions of going home and possibly being with his wife for the last time.<\/p>\n
Even though it was eleven o\u2019clock in the evening, Bob would always make something to eat. When he arrived home from work, Eliza was napping on the couch with a book next to her. He didn\u2019t pay attention to it. He went right upstairs and changed into his grunge clothes. After he came back down, he raided the refrigerator. He decided to make Chicken Stir Fry. He didn\u2019t wake Eliza up when it was ready. The longer he could put off her needing to talk, the better.<\/p>\n
\"\"<\/p>\n
The smell of the Chicken Stir Fry woke Eliza moments after he made it. Bob had already helped himself to a serving. She grabbed a plate and sat next to him. Normally she would sit across. However, she didn\u2019t speak. This was normal. They both ate just staring at their food. Afterwards, Bob put the leftovers away and Eliza put the dishes in the sink.<\/p>\n
Eliza repeated herself from the morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to talk.\u201d<\/p>\n
They both went into the living room and sat on the couch. Bob sighed loudly where Eliza noticed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u201d she asked him.<\/p>\n
\u201cNothing. What do \u2018we\u2019 need to talk about?\u201d He responded back.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think you can agree that our marriage has been rocky lately. We don\u2019t do much like we used to. We would always go out when we dated. You would take me to a movie or we would go to the park. Afterwards, you would cook me something special for dinner. Then we would cuddle. Now we almost live separate lives. I can\u2019t live like this.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bob prepared for the break-up. He was wondering if he should try and talk her out of it or just let her leave.<\/p>\n
She continued, \u201cI want to make this work for us. And the commercial on t.v. this morning gave me that push. I went to the library and found this book.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eliza showed Bob the book about starting a new business. Bob perked up. This wasn\u2019t about leaving each other after all.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou want to start a business?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want \u2018us\u2019 to.\u201d She smiled at him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m really tired to process this all right now. Can we talk more about this in the morning at breakfast?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, let\u2019s do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bob and Eliza followed their same routine still at night, except Eliza left the dishes for the morning. They both headed upstairs and went their separate ways into each other bedrooms.<\/p>\n

The next morning, Eliza headed down to breakfast where pancakes were already made waiting for her on the dining room table. Bob looked in a much better mood, but still his old self. Eliza grabbed a serving and again, sat next to Bob.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbout last night.\u201d She started.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou change your mind?\u201d Bob jumped in.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo. I want us to continue talking about this. I think this would help us in the long run. I want us to be like how we were before doing things together.\u201d<\/p>\n
“I do too, but I\u2019m not sure this would do it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy not?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cStarting a business is a lot of work. What type of business were you thinking?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know yet. That\u2019s why I wanted to talk to you. This is something we\u2019d both do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bob didn\u2019t want to run a business. That means getting involved with more people. He was not liking this idea at all. But he had to give credit to Eliza for trying to bring a spark back to their marriage. Almost twenty-four hours ago he thought she was going to divorce him.<\/p>\n
Eliza was watching Bob eat. Then she stared off in another direction. She looked back at Bob.<\/p>\n
