#BuildNewcrest: Day 66

Build Newcrest Challenge: Generation 2: Jubilee Simself

Day 66 (Household Income: §29,966)

Yesterday, Junior moved out and went off to the Police Academy. He was really funny and a good brother. He was my bro.

It’s around 7:00am. Time to get up. I decide to start teaching Angel and Noelle potty training. I don’t want to have dad and mom, or even Karlo, to have to constantly change their diapers before the twins grow up to the child lifestage. And I don’t want to either. I bring both Angel and Noelle to the bathroom.

The two get along so well with each other. Like I do with my sis and bro.

First up is Noelle. I tell her she has to stay there until she makes a pee pee or poo poo. I don’t know terms to use with little ones. I figured those two would work for now. And after Noelle finally does go, she has to announce to me what she did. And then she giggles.

Next up is Angel. I tell him the same thing. He gives me a dirty look.

As I am training him, I get a knock at the door. It’s Karlo. He said he needs to go to work and he’ll see me later. Shoot, I hope he didn’t have to use the bathroom.

When Angel finishes, he babbles something which sounds like all done.

Not realizing it would take so long, I grab something quick to eat for breakfast. Dad has the day off, so I ask him if he would toddler sit. He was happy to oblige. I think he has fallen in love with his grandchildren.

I head off to work with mom. Same as before, I won’t have you tag along until I get another promotion. It is fun showing you what I do, though. But I don’t want to bore you all the time.

I’m home. I had a decent day at work. My boss told me I earned a vacation day. Vacation days I can use and not go into work without getting in trouble. Probably useful if something happens to Angel or Noelle.

I had text Karlo when I was at work that we were going out to dinner tonight. Dad, mom, and sis would toddler sit. He should be ready to go when I get home.

We went to La’Attente Bistro in the Magnolia Promenade.

At our table, I ask Karlo more about him. I don’t even know what he does for a job and he lives with me. He tells me he is a Regional Manager at Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe. He says he is hoping soon to be a Senior Manager. He begins talking about numbers and business lingo I am not familiar with, so I change the subject.

I ask him to tell me more about himself. Does he have any hobbies? What was his childhood like? He goes into all about how he was the top student in math class and history. Other students were jealous of him cause he’s smart. Not the route I was hoping for. But at least he is opening up.

When our food arrives, we talk about Angel and Noelle. He thinks them being potty trained now is working well. He wants to see them starting to talk more clear and be less babbley and do some reading and writing soon. I wanted to tell Karlo to let them be toddlers right now.

Karlo hasn’t asked about me the whole night, but when we finish dinner, he catches me off guard. He says he has had a crush on me since he first saw me in high school. I ask him if it because I am a Simself and my dad became popular when he signed up to build Newcrest? He says that has nothing to do with it. It’s because I am opposite of him and he thinks opposites attract. He likes the wild side within me. And I brought it the night of our party.

I like this side of Karlo. I wish he would bring it out more. But ever since I’ve known him, he’s always the grown-up business type attitude guy. Very little do I see this part of him. I’ll have to work on him.

After we get home, I check on Angel and Noelle. They are both in bed but Noelle is awake. I give her a kiss on the forehead.

Before we go to bed, Karlo caresses my cheek and wishes me a good night.

I think I already had one.
