1.17: Big Splash

Levi went home and grabbed a quick meal to get his Hunger Need from reaching orange status. He doesn’t need to start a date being negative.

I’m really liking Brindleton Bay, so I wanted the date to be there. I opened my Gallery in game and looked for the Restaurant Lots of the members I am following. I looked through the listed restaurants uploaded and one stood out amongst the rest that would fit Brindleton Bay.

Calling Spica on the phone, Levi promised her a date and wanted to know if tonight would be a good time. She accepts and they meet up together at the Big Splash.

The restaurant, Big Splash, was created by Maladi. I’ve read some of her SimLit on the Sims Forums as well as enjoyed some of her other creations she has made.

Choosing to Go On a Date is a timed event with different tasks. The main goal is to Socialize with Your Date 10 times. This can easily be achieved. The other tasks are what makes the rest of the date fun and exciting.

Before Levi talks to Spica, he needs to Request a Table. I hope the host picks a nice seating out for them. Levi looks a bit nervous. This is his first date, after all.

The host gave Levi and Spica seating where she could overlook the Brindleton Bay bridge. It’s a great view from on top of the restaurant.

As the game was running slow and the time is creeping by pretty quickly, Levi decides to skip the appetizers and go straight to the main course when ordering for himself and Spica. They both are going to try the Chef’s Choice of fried fish and a glass of red nectar blend.

The two of them become Flirty. Not sure how that happened, but good for them. Maybe Spica was impressed Levi could pick out a meal she just might enjoy. Another task is to Have Deep Conversations with Your Date 2 times. So those are thrown in there.

Because they are flirty, I looked in the Romance tab and chose anything with the Confident color of blue since Levi is also feeling Confident as well as Flirty. He tried a Bold Pickup Line.

Soon Levi and Spica becomes good friends. He learns she also has the Genius trait. Why is she unemployed if she’s a genius? *laughing*

Of course when they get their food, it has to start raining. But Levi and Spica did achieve their main goal. There was only 1 romance interaction in that. Now it’s time to Socialize about Meal 3 times.

Levi becomes Very Flirty now. He has to take advantage of this. That’s good because a task came up for him to Flirt with Your Date While Flirty. He also has a whim to Flirt with Someone (From Being Flirty).

Levi blows a kiss towards Spica. Spicy!

Levi couldn’t eat all his fish, so he got a to go bag for it. He’ll save it for later.

The next task is to Give Your Date a Massage. Unfortunately at the time I saw it, he doesn’t have that option. How sad. There’s 1 hour left of the date and it’s way past his bedtime. He can do this.

With 10 minutes left, Levi gets up and holds Spica’s hands in his. This was a lovely date and he’s happy to have gotten to know her better, especially romantically.

  • Holy cow! Spica coming in hot with that confession! My girl is all grown up now.
Why is she unemployed you ask, because she is from a rich family and I spoiled them rotten. (Well. Probably because I messed up when moving them to the library. I vaguely remember her having a job in my game… *goes to check*)

    • Update. I have checked my game and she actually does not have a job. What.
I am so confused, this is so far from my usual over-achieving, slave-driving play style. I guess she’s really special O.o

    • They sure did. And I didn’t even start the flirtiness for Levi. He did it all by himself. Then I just had to some conversational pieces to keep it going.
