1.12: Winter in Springtime

After Brent left, Levi finished his mathematical diagram. It’s a nice diagram, but it looks like being Focused for that short period of time when he started it, didn’t count as an emotional painting. His aspiration requires him to create 3 of them. Levi has only painted 1. He was in a flirty mood at the time.

We’ll have to test and see how to get Levi out of Inspired and into a mood that will count for an emotional painting. Any suggestions readers have will be gratefully accepted.

The next morning after breakfast, Levi autonomously started cleaning the counter. One of his traits is Neat, so he was quite a bit uncomfortable and took it upon himself to clean up.

Yesterday, Brent gave Levi a gift of uncommon plant seeds. Today we opened them to find out they are tomato seeds. Levi is not much of a gardener, but it would be rude not to use these since these were a gift from his best friend.

Levi goes ahead and plants them in the backyard. There was a nice spot to plant things as well, so maybe it was fate. And the weather is really nice. The thunder storm from last night made today beautiful outside.

Levi gets started on his next painting. This one is going to be a medium sized abstract design.

When Levi was done, all it looks like is a color shading. “Really, Levi? This the best you could have come up with?” Not his best work and not a keeper. The mathematical diagram was also sold. Who wants that on a wall? *laughing*

Maybe Levi just needs a little inspiration. Now that he has a best friend, perhaps a girlfriend in his life might help him. Plus, this is a legacy gameplay. He’ll need to find someone eventually. He’s not getting any younger.

The museum in Del Sol Valley is all movie related pieces, so it’s time to take Levi somewhere else. There was a museum in Brent’s town of Brindleton Bay. It’s called Deadgrass Discoveries. Maybe there’s something or someone there to inspire him.

It was raining in Brindleton Bay. I suppose being next to an ocean, it would rain more often here. The museum was pretty empty except for two ladies. And they were dancing to the music playing. Levi was being creepy and watching them while they didn’t notice.

I decided to have Levi go find a painting to look at. Watching these two ladies dance for almost a half hour in-game time was tedious enough. It would be rude to interrupt them in their dance groove, anyway.

He sat down on one of the benches and was staring at the painting in front of him when another lady arrived and started looking at the same painting. She looked a little tense. Perhaps cause of the rain outside.

As Levi wasn’t doing anything autonomously with her, I gave him the little push to do a Friendly Introduction. Then the interactions begun and they started talking. I threw in some art conversation pushes to help things along.

I think she really liked it as she went from tense to happy real quick. They chatted for a long time, too. Her name is Spica Winter. Levi learns she is unemployed and hasn’t found a job yet. But, Levi finds out she does like to do geeky things. The two become Friends. I think he just finds her pretty.

Spica eventually leaves on her own and we’ll let her and not push her to continue talking. They did most of it autonomously. Levi needs to go back to admiring some work here at the museum. Am glad he made a new friend, though.

Spica Winter is created by blackundecimber on the Sims Gallery. She is also on the Sims Forums, where she has her own stories and likes to share her thoughts on others. She even reads this gameplay blog.

Another lady approaches Levi as he’s wandering around looking at all the pictures. I actually like these paintings myself of the open sea adventures. We’re going to pretend she recognizes Levi. Why? Because we find out she is a co-worker of his and Brent’s. And maybe she did recognize him as she did approach him.

Her name is Anaya. She’s a romantic. I’m sure she knows the history behind a lot of these paintings. She’s married. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t still be friends outside of work, right Levi?” I wonder if she knows Brent.

  • ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Hi Spica!! *waves*
It’s nice to see a Winter out and about, since I don’t take them out very often lol. Now that you’re out, get a job please xD
As for making emotional paintings, I sometimes use the plumbob mood changing light things when I’m desperate, but it does almost feel like cheating. I like to think I’m just giving their mood a little push…

    • Perhaps we’ll see more of Spica. It’s fun seeing others’ sims creations in Levi’s life.

Oh, Levi did receive a ‘picture perfect art lighting’ object from his first promotion at work. I wonder if that will help. I don’t want to buy objects for the house that’ll help because I kind of feel that is cheating as well. But if he’s given something from work, that’s not really cheating. He earned it.

  • Thanks for the tag! For some reason your chapters are not showing up on my WP reader :< So I'm relying on forum updates now.

Personally I quite like that color shading. I wouldn't be able to do something like that so at least Levi impresses the noobs. ๐Ÿ˜†

Also you've inspired me to finally update to 1.68 to get relationship profiles and sentiments. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • The WP Reader seems to be a browser issue with many of my commenters. So, am happy to tag everyone on the forums to keep them updated.

I suppose because it was an abstract painting, it could have been nice. I just feel Levi is better now. ๐Ÿ˜€

I really really really like these Character Profiles and Sentiments. They add a lot to the story progression and gameplay.

  • An easy way to get in a certain mood is the mood lamps, of course, but really fast one is confident by brushing your teeth, the others of course, are flirty shower. If Levi takes a bubble bath, he will become playful. If you have an element cube and put it close to Levi and enable emotional aura, it will give him a focused mood. Hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚ And Spica looks like a possibility ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Placing specific object that give advantages to me is the easy way out. Things that have multipurpose, like the shower, to me doesn’t count as cheating. So, that would work.
